About Us
Pomeroy Spinners, A Community-Based Organization
The Pomeroy Spinners Community Organization is a volunteer, non-profit, men’s organization that was created as a local service group in the 1940’s to offer services to our community (formerly the Jaycee’s). In addition to offering Maple Hall to our community for events, we continually seek grants to renovate and improve it.
Spinners complete many fundraising activities and services within our community each year such as selling baked potatoes during the fair, a salad bar during Tumbleweed Festival/Pioneer Days, Letter Service to Santa, prepare the community Thanksgiving dinner, organize and manage the annual Easter Egg Hunt, host a Broomstick Pool Tournament near St. Patrick’s Day, a Sweetheart’s Ball around Valentine’s Day, spray downtown streets and sidewalks in the spring, and provide scholarships to high school seniors, as well as other events the group finds worthy.
